January 2026
Dear Friends and Family in Christ,
I hope 2026 has started well for each of you. I am so grateful for your continued prayers, encouragement, and financial support that make this ministry and my part in it possible. I am excited to share how God has been working here in Guatemala during the month of January.
This month began with an unexpected change, as one of our scheduled teams had to cancel. God quickly showed His provision through the extra time it created. I was able to deep clean and repair our two paint machines, which are essential for home construction. Hopefully, this will help to keep them around longer and in better shape!
I also spent time using a 3D printer that Kyle, a short-term missionary who comes with Trinity United Presbyterian Church, generously provided. This has allowed us to print important wheelchair parts and components needed for our house builds, helping us serve more people and with more specialization.
We were blessed to host two wonderful teams. I was able to be apart of the cultural days for the teams including a day at the beach and, just last weekend, hiking Volcán de Pacaya together. For one of the teams, I was BMI's representative for their cultural day which shows some personal growth within the ministry.
Starting in November, our staff started going through the book of Psalms during our daily morning devotionals. While I am not able to attend every single one, it has been an incredible time of spiritual growth. We have several wonderful pastors on staff who lead us through deep, inductive study, helping us understand Scripture more fully and apply it to both ministry and daily life. It has also been a meaningful opportunity to grow closer as a staff family and build stronger relationships with one another. So far, we have worked through 40 Psalms, studying one each day.
Most importantly, through God’s guiding hand and the generosity of His people, January has already been filled with incredible ministry impact. Together, we have lovingly prepared 7 new homes for families who now have a more secure place to live. We have also blessed and ministered to approximately 100 families by providing mobility solutions, helping restore independence and dignity. In addition, we installed 4 new stoves, improving health and daily living conditions for those households. Each person we encounter, we are showing the love of Christ as well as ministering to them and planting seeds.
None of this would be possible without your partnership. Your prayers, encouragement, and financial support are directly impacting lives, sharing Christ’s love in tangible ways, and helping families experience safety, dignity, and hope. Please continue praying for upcoming teams, safe travels, and for the families we serve — that they would not only experience physical blessing but also grow in their relationship with Christ. Thank you again for being part of what God is doing here and in my life. I am continually thankful for each of you.
Love Laugh Live,
